The Rahkshi and Toa Nuva are on sale at the LEGO Brand stores. The sets are $2.99, and are being clearanced out. Once they're gone, they're gone.

10202 Ultimate Dume, is now available at TRU stores in the United States. Your TRU may not have it yet, but mine did, so its a safe bet that if its not there now, it will be soon. I took some high quality pics of the set, which you can see by reading on.  

Toa Nuju has been shouldered aside as the front page of Bionicle.com. The Vahki now greet visitors with their "Surrender or Run!" slogan.

The new guidebook to Metru Nui by Greg Farshtey is now available at Barnes & Noble online, and through some bookstores, for USD$6.99. Some BZP readers have already bought it from their local store and posted information about it here.

Right now any item at KB Toys with an orange price tag is buy one get the second 50% off the already reduced price. I saw a few Nuva and Bohrok Kal with orange tags, so you can probably score them for a really low price. Check your local KB to see what selection they offer.

In what looks to be another typo for the history books, the Toys R Us website has listed the Ultimate Dumerator (AKA Ultimate Dume for those of us who do not like typos) for preorder. And to answer your next question, yes it does include an exclusive 'Mask of Power'.

Sunday was the last day for the World famous 2004 San Diego Comic-Con and just as last year, it was the most anticipated by Bionicle fans because today was the day the first peek at the new Bionicle 2 movie were shown to the public. BZPower was there and has the report for you first - WARNING! This story does contain spoilers at the VERY end!  

Toonami and Colgate are sponsoring a new Bionicle contest, and the grand prize is a 14kt solid gold mask. Entrants must answer a question about the new powered Bionicle toothbrushes being released in the UK. The contest is only open to UK residents under the age of 16.

OK, so there is no exclusive disk at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego. But who needs a disk when we got the FIRST pictures of the HOTTEST set of the year, if not the entire history of Bionicle! Read on for some awesome pictures and details about Toa Lhikan and Kikanalo.

If you haven't signed up for the LEGO Club Magazine, you may want to consider it - September's issue will have a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui. Also featured will be step-by-step instructions for building "one of Metru Nui's most ferocious Rahi - the dreaded winged Lohrak".

LEGO recently released a few pictures from the upcoming Bionicle 2 movie. We have the highest-resolution pictures available, and some information about the movie. As with the first movie, the toy and CGI versions of each character are noticeably different from the movie version, although still obviously recognizable (such as Toa Matau, at left). Read on for pictures and descriptions, and links to download the large versions of each image.  

The latest comic, issue 19, has an image of the updated Bionicle Guide for Metru Nui, which is more recent than the one on Amazon.com. That site lists the book for USD$6.99 and availability as shipping within 13 days, but BN.com lists the book as being available on August 28. Chances are you'll see the book available in mid- to late-August, we'll bring you a review as soon as we have a copy available.

It's now July 20. As many of you know, this is the day we celebrate BZP's anniversary. Of course we have some surprises planned, and you'll be seeing those over the next few days. But first, a time to reflect on the greatness of BZP. Read on.  

The latest comic, issue 19 - "Surrender or Run" - is starting to show up in mailboxes around North America. Europeans are getting a different comic, which combines US comics 13, 14, and 15 and also comes with an exclusive Ta-Metru Kanoka disc, code 175.

The official bios for all the new Bionicle characters have been added to Bionicle.com. Read about Turaga Dume, Nidhiki, Krekka, and the Vahki in detail. The web site is also now available in Japanese.

Retail wholesaler Costco is carrying 3-packs of Vahki sets for USD$19.99, or about 1/3 off regular price. The canisters are shrinkwrapped together with no special packaging.

A single-color blue Matatu (in new dark blue color) is up for sale on eBay. The seller says it's a test sample, but it's not confirmed. There aren't any bids yet, and the minimum opening bid is USD$20. There are three days left on the auction. As with all transaction with someone you don't know, caveat emptor.

Would you like to display your Bionicle MOC at a convention attended by fellow LEGO enthusiasts? Your chance is fast approaching. BrickFest 2004, held near Washington, DC on August 13-15th, has room for Bionicle custom creations in the MOC display (shown here from last February's event). Another LEGO store is opening in the US this year. This store will be on Long Island, NY in the Smith Haven mall. The store is due to open sometime later this year and is the last to be added to a list of now 8 stores opening this year.

A new batch of answers from Greg Farshtey are available at the Kanoka Club's feature, including Turaga Dume's mask power.

As you all know, we had a contest here at BZP to see who would get the Knights Kingdom press kit sent to us from LEGO. Takua11 Nuva won that contest. His press kit arrived earlier in the week, and we have his review for you to read now.  

Next week's huge Comic-Con International event in San Diego, CA will have some Bionicle sneak peeks, and an exclusive set for sale. You'll also be able to meet some of the people responsible for the Bionicle comics, among other things. The event is being held July 22-25 at the San Diego Convention Center; the Bionicle excitement will be at booth 1829.  

New commercials featuring the Vahki are hitting the airwaves. Can't find it on Nicktoons or Cartoon Network? Try watching it from Bionicle.com. The commercial features typically excellent CGI animation (probably from Ghost), and even includes hints of a storyline - and a Vahki changing locomotion modes. The 30-second commercial ends with the now-familiar tagline, "Surrender or Run." It's really more of a mini-movie than a commercial, click above to watch the movie (QuickTime required).

The official web site has had a few additions and a bug fix. Listings for the summer sets are in the Products section, including Dark Hunters Nidhiki and Krekka; Turaga Dume; and the Vahki. Also, for those who spent some Kanoka points on the 7th Wallpaper, you can now download it from the Kanoka Club.

"The Buzz" section of Bionicle.com has been updated with a press release for BIONICLE 2: Legends of Metru Nui including a clearer image of the box art. Suggested price will be USD$29.99 for the DVD and USD$22.99 for the VHS cassette, and will be released October 19, 2004.

A listing of the special features included on the Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui DVD is listed on the Disney Videos web site. It also includes a slightly longer description of the movie, with a description of Turaga Dume sure to keep the "Is He Evil?" debate going full throttle. Read on for the quote and list.  

Yesterday's Toys 'R Us event winners (which meant just about everyone who participated) received a few goodies for defeating the Morbuzakh. A Kanoka disc, assorted comic books (including some lucky few who scored Bionicle 19), and a brand new Vahki poster.  

Comic 19 is available at some of the "Blast the Morbuzakh" events happening at Toys 'R Us stores today, and one participant has sent in scans of the comic's cover and back. The first major appearance of the Vahki displays a now-familiar "Surrender or Run" motif introduced in the latest Press Kit. The back of the comic is a full-page ad for Bionicle 2, with some new artwork. And we get to see what the cover for the movie case will be, as well as a movie Vahki in full detail.  

The Knights Kingdom Press Kit winner is Takua11 Nuva. There were so many excellent entries it was very difficult to select one winner. While only Takua11 Nuva will be getting the kit, everyone that entered will be receiving a Chronicler Staff just for taking the time to put their thoughts on paper (once I finish shipping the other contest prizes, of course). The winning essay is within.  

Tomorrow at Toys 'R Us stores, the "Camp Geoffrey" feature will be Blast the Morbuzakh from noon to 2 p.m. And there's always Clikits too.

Set 10202, Ultimate Dume, is being shipped - everywhere but North America, that is. The set includes the special promotional Kiril mask, which attaches in a different kind of way. It may not be Mata Nui, it just might be better. Australian kids' magazine Krash and LEGO are sponsoring a Tropical Adventure contest, with the grand prize of three nights on a private luxury island. The grand prize is worth AUS$70,000 and there are other prizes. Read on for more details.  

Orginally the Knights Kingdom Press Kit contest was slated to end today. However, I wanted to give members more time to enter considering many people may have been away for the holiday weekend. The contest is now extended to this Friday. Get your entries in while you have time!

LEGO Shop@Home is selling 40 copies of the Quest for the Nest promotional games on eBay. These games were only available in October 2002 at Toys 'R Us during a one-day promotional event, and through an earlier eBay listing. The "Buy It Now" price is USD$14.99, a little steep maybe for a limited function promo, but at this point it's a fun blast from the Nuva past if you can afford it.

Several readers have written in letting us know that Target stores around the US are having clearance sales on Rahkshi. Apparently making room for the summer 2004 sets, Rahkshi are available for anywhere from around USD$3 to regular price, depending on the location. Many sets include special purple 7th-stage Kraata, so be sure to look for the label.

Earn a few more Kanoka Club points by answering a new question. There's also a new wallpaper image available, a rarely-seen promo picture for the 7th Toa, for 75 points. The link is currently not working correctly, but will probably be fixed soon. Update: Toa Metru and Metru Nui IM icons have also been added for 150 points each.

Because all we do is talk about Bionicle here, sometimes we forget that we are able to enjoy toys, recreational activities, and other additions to life because we have freedom and can afford such luxuries. Without the Founding Fathers establishing The United States of America 228 years ago by declaring independance, none of what you see now at BZP would be here. So lets take a moment to reflect on the significance of that day in world history. Happy 4th, everyone!

The official Bionicle web site has undergone a few minor changes in the last day, a few of them apparently to pump up participation in the Kanoka Club. Updates include: "Enter codes here" added to the Kanoka Club entrance; more info about the Kanoka Club in The Buzz; Korean language added; and a 3-D model of Vakama added to the Sets page.

We have shown you the golden disks a few times now, but have never shown you a winning Kanoka card... until now that is. Read on for more and the picture!  

The summer LEGO Catalog is beginning to ship, and is also available online. The cover features the new Knights' Kingdom sets, while pages 10-11 have the new Summer Bionicle sets. The Toa Metru and other Bionicle items are on 12-13, and Rahkshi are on the Under $10 page.

The June Premier Membership Promotion was a great success (a report on how successful will be along in a few days), but July is here now and referenced changes are in effect.  All the changes, including the new streamlined process, are in the updated topic in the BZPower Reference Desk.

If you want to save some cash on the three new summer sets, and don't mind waiting six weeks, you can order the Ultimate Dume kit from LEGO Shop@Home. The combination of 8621 Turaga Dume & Nivawk, 8622 Nidhiki, and 8623 Krekka ships in early August, but you'll save USD$10 by ordering the kit for USD$49.99. Each set costs USD$19.99 individually. Canadian users can now order in Canadian currency - the set is CAD$69.99. UPDATE: the set is available now outside of the US/Canada.
