By Rich, BZPower Administrator
The 10023 Master Bulder set has appeared on the Lego Shop at Home website. The listing lets us know that the set will cost $12.99, and it will contain 102 pieces. While the listing does give us the above facts, it does not give a specific date when the set will be available for ordering. You can view the listing here.
UPDATE: The availability has been changed to "Available Now" and it is possible to order the set at this time.

As reported earlier on KP, the Koronan Boxor set includes some images of the Toa Nuva and their accessories. KP has acquired some higher-resolution images that show the Toa Nuva in their environments, using their tools; and a confirmation of more types of Mask Packs.
KP would like to thank Dimensioneer and Chaos750 from BZCommunity for these high-resolution scans.

Where, exactly, do the Toa Nuva fit into the grand scheme of the Bionicle saga? Theyre the next batch of good guys, sure, but whats to become of our existing heroes, the Toa v1.0?
Several clues point to the existing Toa "evolving" or "upgrading" to the Toa Nuva. Find out what they are.

LEGO Club updated, featuring two Bionicle MOCs
By Kelly, BZPower Co-Owner
The LEGO Club section of Lego.com has been updated, and includes a pair of new "Inspired by Bionicle" MOCs. "Infernavika" and "Ghekula" are constructed from parts of two Bohrok Va sets; and Lehvak, Tahnok, and Pahrok, respectively, and are located on the "Build It" page.
In order to view the full step-by-step instructions, you must be a member of the LEGO Club (there is no charge to join). Note: Since this is a "Members Only" offer, we're only showing outlines of these two MOCs. You'll need to join to see them in full. (Thanks to BZCommunity member Kopaka Toa of Ice for pointing out the update.)
Finally, there is a "club codes" section, presumably to take you to hidden areas. The codes will be printed in the LEGO Magazine.

LEGO has released a few more details about the upcoming movie "BIONICLE: The Mask of Light" set for release in September 2003. There's a bit more information about the movie, and some spoilers about the Bohrok and Makuta.
UPDATE: Press release from Creative Capers about the movie has been added. -Bryan
"Battle for Mata Nui" status update
By Kelly, BZPower Co-Owner
The planned beta test for "The Battle for Mata Nui" online game has been cancelled, according to LEGO, due to scheduling reasons. The final game itself is still on track to be released onto Bionicle.com in early May.
Apparently the LEGO Club portion of the web site is undergoing some rather extensive revisions, and adding a new online beta test is not feasible at this time. There is still some work involved in finishing production and QA on the new game, but a LEGO representative estimated it should only be a few weeks away at this point.

Helpful KP reader Paul Vreede alerted us to some very interesting auctions taking place on the German version of eBay right now. For bid: instruction manuals on the Exo-Toa, Koronan Boxor (including alternate model!) and Cahdok/Gahdok. No word on how the seller came by these gems.
UPDATE: All items have been removed from auction as of the morning of 20 April. The auctions were scheduled to end 25 April.

Bohrok Va 1/2 price at Krogers?
By Kelly, BZPower Co-Owner
Rumors have come in of at least four of the six Bohrok Va being sold at Kroger's (in this case near Atlanta, GA) for $1.49. Pahrak Va, Lehvak Va, Nuhvok Va, and Tahnok Va have been spotted on shelves at this price reduction in at least one store. It may be a local promotion in just one store or region, but if not, this would be a good time to add more Va to your collection.
Update: This price has been confirmed in Louisiana as well as Georgia.
Thanks to KP readers Adam and Ex-Mage for the info. If any other readers are able to confirm this rumor, please let us know!

The LEGO® 2001 Annual Report, recently released, reflects how popular Bionicle is, and how much the line has helped the toy company financially over the last year. Bottom line: sales up, expenses down, and more Bionicle expected.

While reviewing a promotional CD-ROM from the Bionicle press kit, I ran into a couple of interesting things. In a few frames there appear to be ghostly images of Krana... but not the final versions.

During the official release of the Bionicle line in Europe in early 2001, you may have been lucky enough to have picked up a few of the Toa in the local toy shops. Due to extensive advertising, the release saw widespread product shortages. Helping to promote the advert campain were the release of a few side goodies like key rings, mugs and caps. But the one that stands out from all of these is a set of 8 fake Bionicle tattoos.
By Kelly, BZPower Co-Owner
On a primitive island in an endless ocean, the inhabitants of Mata Nui carry torches for light, live in one-room huts, build their abodes from stone or plants or ice, and by all accounts live relatively simple, pastoral lives when not fighting Rahi or Bohrok. So where did they get advanced technology for hydraulic pumps, elevators, drilling equipment, and other high-tech gadgetry?

Toa 3-Packs at Costco
By Rich, BZPower Administrator
The Wholesale retailer Costco is selling Toa in a three pack for $18.99. It's not the greatest deal, but if you still need some Toa, that's another place to get them with a little discount.

Vahi price reduction at ToyWiz
By Kelly, BZPower Co-Owner
Toywiz has dropped the price of individual Vahi by a dollar, from $9.99 to $8.99. While not exactly a fire sale, it's an indication that the Vahi craze may have peaked and is receding slightly.
The price drop was not enough to diminish the "Buy 3, get 1 free" deal, so you can now acquire 4 Vahi for $26.97 (+ S&H of course). This is far more affordable compared to the first Vahi auction on eBay, which went for approximately $52. (Thanks to AMP from BZCommunity for the tip.)
Updated Kanohi and Krana Clicklist available
An updated Kanohi and Krana Clicklist has been added to the Collectibles section of Kanohi-Power. In addition to some minor image fixes, this PDF form is now clickable so you can save your list on your computer. (Requires Adobe Acrobat.)

More Matorans lurk in Bionicle's future
By Kelly, BZPower Co-Owner
Good news / bad news time:
LEGO® has confirmed that plans for the Bionicle line include more Matorans to be released at some point in the future. "If all the stars stay in order and Makuta-willing - we anticipate more Matorans being offered in the future," according to Carrie Casaceli of LEGO Consumer Services.
The not-so-good news? This release won't be until sometime after Summer 2002. The exact details are still a mystery, and it's unclear whether they will be released in retail outlets, high volume stores (like the Bohrok Va) or via more promotions at McDonald's.
The Matoran shipping with the Boxor will be the only Matoran shipped in Summer 2002.

Bohrok TV Advert
By Mike E., KP Founder
KP reader Alex (lewaswingin on BZCommunity) let us know that the new Bohrok Advert has been seen on TV. So far it's been shown on slots for the CITV shows, which are prime-time kids shows in the UK.
A rundown on the advert:
It depicts Tahnok hatching, landing, and killing the camera. Also shown is Tahnok's Xa on Tahu, a Xa being placed into Tahnok's brain pan, Tahnok getting folded, shoved into a canister, and then the canister lid being closed. The canister is put back into the hive, where the viewer sees all six Bohrok, with more canisters behind them. Some of the ad is computer animated, presumably by Ghost, APS, who produced the previous CGI adverts.
The commentary is as follows: 'Deep below Mata Nui, a new threat awakens. Controlled by a powerful Kra-Na, the creature within, it is the
Bow-Rok, a great danger to the Toa. They strike fast, and fold their shields. The Bohrok come in six Swarms.
Bionicle, if you wake one, you wake them all.'
Note: While several U.S. readers have noted this commercial has been seen for quite a while on Nickelodeon and other channels, this was the first reported sighting in the UK.
