    Flashback: TRU Turaga Display
Hot Bionicle NewsSunday, June 29th, 2003 at 3:17pm by Rich, BZPower Administrator

Earlier in the month when I announced the TRU clearance specials, I mentioned obtaining a bunch of Turaga that were situated on a display. What I failed to mention was that because I purchased all of the Turaga on the display, the manager let me keep it. Obviously the Turaga are old news, but I thought a few readers would enjoy a look at the display.

I’ve probably been to about 30 different TRUs in the past year, and I’ve only seen this particular display once. It was found at Toys R Us Kids World in Elizabeth, NJ. Some readers may have seen it before, but if I have never seen it, I’m sure a good number of people haven’t as well.

    Turaga Stand Front

Basically, it is a stand-up display intended to hold 48 Turaga. There are four mini-shelves, with each one holding 12 priests.

    Turaga Stand Side

Both sides of the display show all 6 Turaga individually stack one on top of the other with the Turaga combiner at the bottom.

The area below where the sets are held shows all 36 Turaga masks.

    Turaga Stand Bottom

All the sets you see on the display are still sealed. I have no idea what I will do with them yet, but for $1.98 and a free display I couldn’t go wrong. The Turaga are almost impossible to find at a TRU and are getting more difficult by the day, so if you spot them, get them while you can!
