    International Toy Fair ~ Nürnberg
OpinionSaturday, February 9th, 2002 at 4:56am by Mike E., KP Founder

    Germany

I have just received an email from our past admin of KP.com, yes you've guessed it... it's Xtian. He just wished to say everything is OK over in Germany, but that's not why he sent us an email. Xtian went to visit the International Toy Fair in Nürnberg in Germany, and has managed to get a sneak peek at the new Bionicle line of products and he has the update...

There will be be SIX new "infected" TOA, which are going to be called "TOA NUVA": in which 3 have been shown on Kanohi-Power.com before any other Bionicle website.

These are the following codes for the new Toa Nuva:

    8566 - Onua Nuva
    8567 - Lewa Nuva
    8568 - Pohatu Nuva
    8569 - Gali Nuva
    8570 - Kopaka Nuva
    8571 - Tahu Nuva

They are going to be packed in a similar way to the original Toa, but in new larger pods - new set numbers (as named above) and a couple of other changes. I don't know how they'll fit into the storyline but here's the design differences:

Each Toa Nuva comes with a new unique mask in its typical color (Onua black, Lewa green, Gali regular blue=*non*-transparent blue... ), etc. Those masks seem to be larger than the known ones and one can best describe them as having a "dynamic and monsterish" look.

Note: The prototype pictures actually show white masks with printing - but the actual sets will come with color-masks without printing!

Each Toa Nuva comes with all new individual tools in silver! Even more "monsterish" than the current Toa-tools and all different from the prototypes shown. Kopaka, for example, will have a type of sword that can be used as skis as well as a weapon. Tahu will have a new giant flame-sword in silver. Pohatu will get his "hammer-feet", exactly the same pieces again, but in silver this time, plus new stuff for his hands. The other Toa Nuva will also have strange silver tools.

The new armour elements are all the same for the six Toa. They are the same silver as the new tools and will remain as shown on the photos.

And a change to the Koronan Boxer: this kit will have Tohunga, but will not be wearing an orange Ruru, rather it will sport an ORANGE PAKARI.
