CHNs Back at Select LEGO Stores

Formerly sold out, the CHNs are back at two LEGO stores. If you live in the NY/NJ area stop by the Paramus Park or Palisades Center stores to get a free CHN with any Bionicle purcahse. Just be sure to ask for one and say BZP sent you to make sure you get it.

As we reported last week, three of the people involved in making BIONICLE: Mask of Light signed autographs in the Glendale Galleria last Saturday. Member Tahu T attended the signing and sent us this picture. "event was a lot of fun and the guys were very nice," he told us.

Blokker, a store in Belgium and the Netherlands, is selling Vakama...in a bag. As with the majority of box-turned-bag sets, the contents are not any different. The bag, however, features two screenshots from The Mask of Light, so it's obvious that this item is more of a promotional item than a normal product. To see pics of the bag, read on.

Bring your camera and get autographs (and a free Kanohi) at the Glendale, California LEGO Store Saturday, Feb. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. The Buzz on Bionicle.com reports directors Terry Shakespeare and David Molina, along with screenwriter Henry Gilroy, will all be on hand to sign mini-movie posters. The first 1,000 kids will also get an unwrapped Kanohi. Not coincidentally, the movie will be 20% off that day only at the store.

Bionicle.com update: Legends

A new section has been added to Bionicle.com, Legends. This area includes information on Metru Nui, bios on Toa Metru and Matoran, a list of upcoming comics, and preview of the "Bionicle Adventures" books. A good portion of the update has "Coming Soon" but some areas (specifically having to do with Toa Vakama, Nuhrii, and Ta-Metru) are visible now.

A new pop-up window greets visitors to Bionicle.com, promising new content in March 2004 in German, French, Japanese and Korean. One assumes this means localized content in that language, since it looks like the current Bionicle.com is in English only.

Just when you thought that Lego was cutting down on the non-set Bionicle items they throw a disk at us. Yes, thats right - a real life size Kanoka disk has been found at Legoland California. The disk feature Toa Vakama and the famous Bionicle logo and are made out of real plastic. Read on for more details!

Back in November, BZPower brought you pictures from the Mask of Light display at Toys 'R Us Times Square. Toys 'R Us Times Square has unveiled a new display in the exact same place to showcase the new Toa Metru sets. Along with a large version of the Metru Nui banner, the display features a life-size model of Toa Vakama. Read on for the pictures.

Toa Metru Invade Lunchables

Three brand-new BIONICLE comics will be released exclusively in Kraft Mega Lunchables. Specially marked boxes, soon to be released in March, will house the new comics written and illustrated by the BIONICLE comic team we all know so well. Each comic will feature two Toa Metru, and the boxes will be appropriately marked so fans know which comic they are getting.

As we reported back in November, DC Comics will soon be releasing the first 15 Bionicle comics in a paperback book. Well, it has finally surfaced at Amazon.com. Although it isn't available just yet (our earlier article states that February 18 is the release date), it's already 20% off the cover price of $12.95 (US) making the sale price $10.36. As we reported earlier today, the new Bionicle.com is now online! While the opening is a bit sparse, more is coming throughout February and the rest of the year, and there are a few new tidbits to grab your attention right now.
Some of the site's content is previous information with a slick new facelift, including the Lexicon and Bionicle The Game page. Links to the Mask of Light site and LEGO.com's discussion forums remain unchanged. Other pages are new, including the Product info pages
and new building instructions. The biggest new page is the expanded Wall of History, with animated slideshows of the storylines from the past three years.
