Discuss This Story Hot Bionicle NewsPosted on Wednesday, August 21st, 2019 at 11:18am by Andrew, BZPower News Manager

There's been an interesting discovery made recently that I'm sure will cause a lot of speculation in the Bionicle community. Intrepid trawlers of the Internet discovered Jose Garibalidi's LEGO Move 2 Portfolio, which contains concept sketches of characters, creatures, and more for the film. One image in particular, Rex, Raptors and Bionicle, contains a very familiar face. It appears that at one point, Takanuva was considered to be a character in the film, possibly working with Rex Dangervest! (Does that mean all the Bionicle sets were lost under the washing machine?) There are also leaked images floating around out there that show a potential set design for a very-different-looking Takanuva. Based on that, while it would have been cool to have a Bionicle reference in the film, I think it's a good thing it didn't happen.
