    Bionicle: The Game screenshots

With the E3 conference coming up, and development on BIONICLE: The Game coming along, more and more screenshots are being released from the upcoming game. BZPower presents some from the PC, PlayStation 2, and XBox versions, recently released on Gaming Horizon's web site.

The game will be released on four platforms, although there's no definite word on whether they'll be released simultaneously. We have no positively-identified screenshots from the GameCube version.

The player selects one of the six original Toa to start, and can move up to "Super Toa" (who we like to refer to as Toa Nuva), and finally as Takanuva, the 7th Toa. You'll battle not only the insidious Rahi and other minions of Makuta, but the sometimes hostile environments of Mata Nui itself.

Below are screenshots from three of the four planned platform releases. It's interesting to note the art from the PlayStation 2 samples are noticeably cleaner than the other two platforms. The PC version, using the recently-announced Hyper Threading technology from Intel's Pentium 4 processor, is next best in quality, while the Xbox graphics appear jaggy and unfinished.

As one of the three non-set related Big Bionicle Releases of 2003 (along with the Mata Nui Online Game II and BIONICLE: Mask of Light video), this game looks poised to make a splash in the gaming world and expand Bionicle awareness.
