Tahu Nuva received it from Vakama a while ago, but has been reluctant to use it.

No, the Toa Nuva tried that and it didn't work.

4 What are the Vahi's powers, in a nutshell?

The Vahi can be used to either speed up time around a target, or slow it down. It cannot be used for time travel.

5 Why did the Toa, upon becoming Toa Nuva, lose all their masks but the one that is their "signature" mask (Kopaka-Akaku, Tahu-Hau etc)?

Well, I like to think that everything on Mata Nui happens for a reason. In this case, the Toa Nuva had already let power go to their heads just from becoming Nuva -- imagine what they would have been like if they had had all their masks too??

6 you said that the Rahi would come back will they be kranad or infected?

No.

7 will the vahi be available in england? if so when?

There aren't any plans to put the Vahi up for sale anywhere.

8 will makuta return with infected kanohi nuva masks?

He's certainly capable of it, but there aren't any infected masks in the movie.

9 In what comic Issue will the Rahkshi first appear in?

They show up at the end of issue 12.

10 The Kal's mission is to: "Find the Bahrag. Free the Bahrag. Unleash the swarms once more." How can they unleash the swarms again? In the Episode [I] [U] After the Storm (on Bionicle.com), volunteer villagers collected the krana and stored them in big pits. Even if the Bahrag are re-awakened, and once again control the krana, the krana won't be able to control the Bohrok as they are krana-less and work for the Matoran. The Kal's mission is complete when they place a krana XA Kal into physical contact with one of the Bahrag; that means they don't open up the pits and redistribute the krana. The Va can't lift the boulders over the pits as they are less strong then Bohrok.

Very good question -- good thing I have a good answer. You are absolutely right about the krana being in a pit. What you haven't considered is that the Bahrag produce the krana -- and the Va have not been tamed. As soon as the Bahrag are free, they produce krana by the thousands and the Va bring them to the nests where the Bohrok are waiting.

11 In the MNOLG (also in episodes) the Toa all unleash their elemental powers at Makuta instantaneously. In Comic 8 you say the Toa will attempt something that they have never dreamed of, to trap the Bahrag (back of cover). Why didn't the Toa turn into Nuva when they first unleashed all of their elements against Makuta???

Because, although they each used their powers against Makuta, they were not combined into a single beam of energy. The powers had to be physically combined to form protodermis.

12 In Lexicon (on Bionicle.com) Lego says that Mt. Ihu is the tall mountain in the island's center. It also says that Ko-Koro is located high on Mt. Ihu. Then it says that the Mangai is THE islands great volcano (not one of them). When you look at a map of Mata-Nui there is a volcano in the island's center and no icy peaked mountain-anywhere! Lexicon also says that Ta-Koro is located inside the Mangai. When looking at a map of Mata Nui: Ta-Koro is on the island's east (not in the volcano seen at the island's center, and Ko-Koro is on the island's west- not high on the volcano said to be Mt. Ihu in Lexicon. Huh??? Could you please clear that up?

Mount Ihu is not the volcano, as far as I know. Mount Ihu is west of the volcano in the snowy mountain range. The Mangai looks bigger because of the perspective of the map, which distorts some features.

13 will lego come out with the old matoran as well as the new

No, there are no plans to reissue the old Matoran.

14 Will the Mask of Light video/DVD come out in Hungary or nearby countries?

I don't know what the plans are for European distribution, although I am sure there are some.

15 When will the Matoran be changed(new forms like in MoL) in the comics,as soon as possible,after the Kal or never?

After the Kal.

16 If the Bahrag are free,will they keep the Bohrok-Kal or destroy them or lock them up?

Were the Bahrag freed, the Bohrok-Kal would have accomplished their mission and gone back to stasis.

17 How many comics will there be for the Kal?

The Bohrok-Kal saga ends in May, so I think it's a total of 4.

18 Does the Mata-Nui Online game 2 play a important part in the storyline?

I don't know, I haven't seen the whole story. But it does tie into the movie storyline.

19 Will (when he comes back) Makuta ever use the Rahi fusions(Nui-Kopen,Mana-Ko,etc...)?

Probably not. Most Rahi have had their infected masks removed so they are no longer of use to Makuta.

20 Will the protodermis have another big role in the storyline?

I have no doubt that it will.

1. I'm still not clear on this. Can the Toa Nuva use the Noble Masks now that they have the Kanohi Nuva?

 Yes, they probably could, but since the Noble Masks have always been far less powerful than the Kanohi Nuva are, why should they?

2. What is the "Kanohi" name, like Hau or Miru, for the Mask of Light and the Mask of Shadows?

 Mask of Light is Avohkii, and the Mask of Shadow is Kraahkan.

3. Why is the Vahi just now appearing in the storyline? Did it just pop out of thin air for the Toa Nuva to use against the Bohrok Kal?

 The Vahi is appearing in the storyline because there was a demand for it by BZPower members who were curious about it. Tahu actually got the Vahi some time ago, but because of its devastating power, was reluctant to use it.

4. Do the Kraata control the Rahski like the Krana and the Bohrok? Or are they just little helpers?

The kraata basically are the Rahkshi, I believe.. they are portions of the substance of Makuta that he uses to bring the Rahkshi armor to life.

5. What is the name of ToL's vehicle?

The Ussanui

6. Why did Jala get a name change?

On Mata Nui, when you perform an exceptionally brave service for your village, you get to attend a special naming ceremony where your name gets changed and higher status is conferred on you. Jala was rewarded for his defense of the koro against the Bohrok swarms.

7. You have confirmed that Kratta come in cans.  I would like to know if these will look like the tubes that Makuta pulls one or the kratta out of.  If not what will they look like.

Makuta doesn't pull the kraata out of a tube.. he pulls it out of himself. At any rate, I have not seen the packaging yet.

8. The koli sticks are a standard on the new matoran.  Does this mean that we will learn the rules of koli and use the figures to enact matches or will they also be used as weapons.

They are not meant for use as weapons. And I have the rules of koli, anytime anyone wants to see them.

9. Tahu has a vahi as revealed in the latest comic.  Is he the only toa who wears one or do the other toa have one as well.

He is the only one who has it.

10. You say that TN has had his vahi for some time and that we will see how he gets it on the website.  Will there be a flashback or will he just officialy get even though you have assumed he got it sometime ago.

I believe you will see him actually getting it on the web.

11. Is the vahi a one time use weapon or will the toa use it to fight there opponents every time things get sticky.

Well, I wouldn't call it a one-time use, but it is phenomenally dangerous, so I doubt they will use it often.

12. After the kal saga ends will we see more bohork under toa control or do they leave with the kal like the rahi did.

The Bohrok return to their nests in anticipation of the Bahrag being freed. So they are back in their nests, but may return someday.

13. Will the rahi help the toa and matoran in their strugles against Makuta for a second time.

No, not really.

14. Any hints of what'll happen in 2004?

No, I have no story bible for 2004 yet

15. Where did the Rahkshi come from, and what is their destiny?

They are the "sons of Makuta"

16. When did Tahu get the Vahi, and where did Vakama find it?

 I don't know where Vakama got it from yet.

17. Will Puku (Pewku) and the Kahu (Gukko) change in the same way the Matoran do?

18. What's you daily life like, being a comic writer?

The comic is only a small part of what I do. I also write the LEGO Magazine, the LEGO Shop At Home catalog, some stuff on the web, and anything else that needs writing around here. So my daily life is pretty busy.

19. According to another PM sent to you, Makuta pulled the Kraat "out of himself." What does that mean. Does he procude the Makuta? (Or is that form or reproduction that only needs one parent?
The kraata is a part of Makuta's essence. So he does produce them, yes.

20. Do you know when the next Bionicle.com update occurs(where Tahu gets the Vahi?) And do you know when the Mask of Light.com production trailer comes online?

No, sorry, I don't.
21. What is the Gukko/Pewku/ToL/Makuta combiner called? Is that Graalok? Or is just a non-essential "fun" thing?

 It's not Graalok. And I am not certain TOL is involved in it.. it's not on the packaging I saw. It is another form of Makuta which does not appear in the film.

22. What is the ToL/Makuta combiner? Does Makuta fuse with ToL or something?

23. When is the next Proto-Squad update occuring?

We are discussing what will be in the next one now.

24. Exactly how many tunnels are there under Mata Nui? It seems like every Bionicle climax ends with the heroes underground.

Lots .. and lots .. and lots. As you will soon see, there is a reason we keep going underground -- because underground is WAY more interesting than aboveground, as things turn out.

25. Will the Toa Nuva always be the main focus of the story, or will there ever be any new heroes?

They will always be around, in one way or another, but they may not always be the main focus.
