    Bio-Cup 2023 Round Two Part 3
Hot Bionicle NewsWednesday, July 19th, 2023 at 5:57am by Jason, BZPower Reporter

We're nearing the bottom reaches of our tour through Hell as we get to the last of our Bio-Cup 2023 Round Two coverage. The final subthemes include Violence, Fraud, and Treachery, and the models are not for the faint of heart! But that's okay, because they're still impressive!

    Last One Standing by Ezreel
    Subtheme: Violence

    Last One Standing

Well, that escalated. The pose between this victor and his defeated opponent showcases the theme, with a good color distinction between the two of them.

    Trophy by J6Crash
    Subtheme: Violence

    Trophy

This Bull's head has some clever designs, from the star in the forehead to the helmets on the eyes and the dripping blood feature. The depiction of only the user's hands sets the scene.

    War Devil by Ryan Z
    Subtheme: Violence

    War Devil

This mechanical menace has a lot of good designs worked in, but the red skeleton arm really jumps out the most.

    False Idol by SpaceBunny609
    Subtheme: Fraud

    False Idol

This guy is interesting, as the cool flows of the red build contrasts with the rigid teal idol.

    Baby Nightmare by eClair Builds
    Subtheme: Fraud

    BABY NIGHTMARE

Okay, this infant-like creature is very unnerving. From the diper and bib to his belly and wide hands, he has a lot of unsettling features that mean you'd surely want to avoid crossing paths.

Diner and a Dinner by Tino Poutiainen
    Subtheme: Fraud

    Diner and a dinner

This fish corpse is truly amazing, with a lot of very clever parts used in it's guts and face and spine. It all comes together as a great (if grotesque) creation.

    Metus, Treacherous Agori by Sharreek
    Subtheme: Treachery

    Metus, Treacherous Agori

Another Bionicle reference! This Metus is far more impressive than his set, with some solid gold armor and neat shoulders. He won't be happy when he's transformed into a snake, I'm sure.

    Orchid Mantis by Toddrick
    Subtheme: Treachery

    Orchid Mantis

This is a brighter concept than most of the other entries here. It's a bit difficult to see the mantis's shape at first because it blends in as a flower so well, so that's some good camouflage. I do like the head design with the frog eyes, as well as the fake flower on it's tail.

    Paradise Lost by Kat's Koncepts
    Subtheme: Treachery

    Paradise Lost

This scene is really creative. The clouds and sword are fun designs that really bring out the scenery, but Lucifer has a great flow to his design that showcases his emotions. Nice stuff.

That's it for our coverage of Bio-Cup Round Two. Stay tuned to BZPower for the third round, which just wrapped up and contains more MOCing goodness. Bio-Cup is again going strong this year, with lots of amazing creations. Which builder do you think will win this year?
