Bio-Cup 2023 Round One Part 4

Our coverage of Bio-Cup 2023 Round One continues. Some of the subthemes were very in tune with nature, like the chilly Tundra. But there were also those that ventured into the artificial with the Manmade subtheme. Check out MOCs for both of these.
Another Day in the Tundra by David Doci Subtheme: Tundra
This poor polar bear is unhappy even though he already has two fish. The scenery is simple but effective, and the bear design is cartoonish enough to work.
Shiver Me Tim-burrrs by Krustacean Makes Subtheme: Tundra
The contrast in style between the technical robot and white snow spirit is nice, with some fun texture designs in both.
Ice Kraken by Arturo Quesada Subtheme: Tundra
I don't really associate the Kraken with the tundra, but you can't deny that the scene of it exploding through the ice conveys some great motion.
Halla - The Call of Winter by Maakaasu Subtheme: Tundra
The landscape elements are very basic, but I like how well the Gelu mask works as a face here.
Kutkh by Ivan Martynov Subtheme: Tundra
This bird has got a lot of nice shinnies. The armor and wings are very well done, but the face is what sells this model.
Virtual Reality Explorer by VelociJACKtor Subtheme: Manmade
Somebody has a light show ready for us. The technical additions to the Dimension base is a nice touch, and the character looks suitably futuristic too.
Progressive City by Chilly Bin Subtheme: Manmade
When we said that cities would rise up, I didn't expect them to be on wheels. I like the city scape built onto the back, complete with smoke stacks, and the clawed arms give it some additional scary characterizations.
Atomic Mishap by Doomspawn Subtheme: Manmade
The level of mechanical looking items here is really cool, and the spread of radioactive material that needs to be cleaned up is a nice touch. Hopefully that guy's hazmat suit is properly sealed.
Ghost in the Shell Motoko Kusanagi by Lego8110 Subtheme: Manmade
This robot is certainly trying to pass as a human, but those wire really give away it's inorganic origin. It's a nice Ghost in the Shell MOC.
Big Iron by Mitch Henry Subtheme: Manmade
These robots are full of gears and pistons and tubes. I'm not exactly sure what job these mechanical masters are equipped for, but they do give off a great machine vibe.
Subsystem Slave 03 by Ben Subtheme: Manmade
Oh great, looks like somebody wants to trap me in an elaborate science experiment. The tangle mess of wires works here, and I like the hanging hands and creepy head.
AAA Powerline by The Maestro Subtheme: Manmade
This robot looks like it just tore itself from the electric grid, with the power cables and traffic light perched on its shoulders. The octopus element really works well for the head. (And hey look, more gear teeth!)
We've got a lot more MOCs to feature from the Bio-Cup Round One, so make sure to stay tuned to BZPower to see more of them. Bio-Cup is again going strong this year, with lots of amazing creations. Which builder do you think will win this year?
