Bio-Cup 2023 is already running full force, with Round One just finishing and Round Two starting up soon. Still, you might have noticed our lack of coverage so far... well that's about to change. It's time for us to highlight some of the amazing MOCs that were entered in the Preliminary Round. There are a lot of MOCs to cover, so let's jump right into our first batch!
MadVillainy by Kat's Koncepts
These characters are quite simple, mostly shaped by the large capes. But the unique helmet designs and overall structure of the scene around the caldron really pulls the whole thing together. I wonder what they're brewing?
Seize the Night by Eero Okkonen
The faceplate here works insanely well as armor, and the rest of the build helps match it and is enhanced by the spectacular pose. The wing piece as the blade is also inspired.
Meng Yan by Ryan Z
A very creative spirit. I especially like the tile texturing on the wings and the big red ears.
Penumbra by Ezreel
I like the steampunk feel this guy has, and the various poses of the shadow hands offer some nice variety.
Grank by Ecto
Smoking is very bad for you, you know. This guy must therefore be evil! The Galidor armor is inspiring, but I particularly like the use of the microphones in the forearms. Plus fun representation of Piraka feet without actually using Piraka feet.
Halo Hunter by éclair Builds
For an evil guy, he does have some nice colors that pop. I like the use of the chain and cloth elements, and the ribs also work out.
Fratricide by Famemocs
Betrayal is the worst evil, isn't it. The characters themselves have some nice features, like the feathered cape and the green skirt, but the poses sell the scene the most.
Circulator the consumer by Bean Bean
He has some weird designs, especially with the hoop on his back, but great colors and man does that krana energy work.
Deathmonger the Defiler by Matt Goldberg
This guy looks proud of his latest loot. The armor includes some interesting bits, like the dragon and wolf skulls on the arms and torso. I also find the skulls on the scythe handle funny.
We've got a lot more MOCs to feature from the Bio-Cup Preliminary Round, so make sure to stay tuned to BZPower to see more of them. Bio-Cup is again going strong this year, with lots of amazing creations. Which builder do you think will win this year?
