The Bohrok Kal were supposed to be the elite of the Bohrok forces in the story, but they were only just recolors of the original sets, which made them one of the more disappointing waves of Bionicle villains. But back in May there was an effort to remake these in the Swarm Sentinel Bohrok Kal collab. Read on to see the upgrades that all the Kal got.

    Gahlok Kal by Kevin H

    Swarm Sentinel Gahlok-Kal

The Gahlok Kal got quite buff, complete with a nice silver and blue color scheme. The coils along its shield, back, and feet help showcase its magnetic capabilities while giving it a nice texture.

    Kohrak Kal by Toddrick

    Kohrak-Kal

The Kohrok Kal was all about sonics, and this one has the speakers built into its arms to really turn the sound up. The silver head setup is also a neat take on the Bohrok design.

    Lehvak Kal by Djokson

    Lehvak-Kal

Nothing says "It must be cleansed" like a vacuum, and the Lehvak Kal has that covered with its giant suction arms. Beyond that, the body in classic Mata green is done nicely considering how few Bionicle pieces actually exist in that color. The Hero Factory heads used for the smaller set of arms is a nice touch.

    Nuhvok Kal by Anthony Wilson

    Swarm Sentinel - Nghuvok Kh'al

The Nuhvok Kal throws away the basic design of the Bohrok and takes on a floating tentacle appearance. The repeating elements on the base, arms, and around the torso and head give it a nice pattern, not to mention showcasing its power over gravity. Nice.

    Pahrak Kal by Cezium

Swarm Sentinel of Plasma - Pahrak Kal

The Pahrak Kal looks like something out of Robo Cop and is made using some interesting brown elements to give it an intimidating appearance. The bucket handles used on the plasma blasters are very impressive too.

    Tahnok Kal by Redverse

    Swarm Sentinel: Tahnox S45

The Tahnok Kal merges with another old LEGO theme; Spybotics. The main core of the Spybotics car was a hefty piece to work around, but it's done quite well here, as the blasters reuse the trans red colors and the legs include the treads. And since the Spybotics were electrical, it also works into the Kal's powers too.

All month long, I'll continue to feature great MOCs from the BZPower Flickr page. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more amazing creations!
