Bio-Cup 2022 Preliminary Round Part 2
Tuesday, June 21st, 2022 at 4:23am by Jason, BZPower Reporter
Bio-Cup 2022 may be close to the end of the first round, but there are still a lot of MOCs to cover from the Preliminary Round. As such, we'll continue with ten more cool MOCs; read on to see the cool things people built.
What Forest Fires Are by Ziontyro
This is a neat animal creation to demonstrate the change in forest fires. The front has a very clever leafy beard, which nicely transitions to charred black. But there is always regrowth after the fires, seen in the flowers on the end of the tail. Very tasteful.
Flower Guardian by Nihil Persona
This one is a bit wacky, with a colorful bug warrior. My favorite part is the flower pedals made from Slizer body pieces.
The Forest Forager by Renzari Kenjo
This character is an unusual design, but I really like the usage of trans green parts, especially the Ninjago spinner.
Nature can be cruel by Bodi Delgrosse
This little deer is toast; the build is a bit frail, so don't know how much of a snack he'll make. The cat head is amazingly detailed, although it's a shame that we just see the head.
Blue-eyed Cicada by jakes_brick_hoard
These are some cute little bugs who have a lot of cool parts usages, from the kraata and krana to the various golden Kanohi.
No matter how you try to restrain it… by JimiFurno
It's a bit of a messy scene, although that seems to be by design. The Galidor parts are clever, but the usage of the Bohrok canister is the best part.
Potted Plant by Will Hafner
Flowers made using kraata are very awesome. The rest of the plant design is pretty simple but it still shows off its vibrant looks.
Fire Flower by Tris Caulfield
This flower is a bit more detailed with some very interesting textures included, especially with pieces like the Visorak head piece and Nuva mask. Good shaping.
River King by NateMakesMOCs
The stork has a nice shape that immediately makes it recognizable, but I also like the reeds in the background.
Antarctic Monkey Ranger by Sandro Quattrini
Although this monkey didn't actually use a lot of Bionicle or CCBS elements, it still has some amazing character designs to it. The face is especially well done.
We've got a lot more MOCs to feature from the Bio-Cup Preliminary Round, so make sure to stay tuned to BZPower to see more of them. There are a lot of impressive MOCs being entered this year for sure. I wonder who'll win the top spot?
