When I became a reporter, one of the things the news team was always striving to do was post news every day. I think everyone took some pride from that, and I know I did, and even if we cheated sometimes or missed a day here and there, I'd wager that on average we posted things 361 or more days each year, server issues notwithstanding. As time has gone on though, real life takes more and more of a priority, and it falls more and more to just me to keep things updated. And while it's been approaching for some time, I feel I've finally reached the point where it's become more of a burden than something I actually enjoy. And I think that means it's time for a change.

This became the impetus, along with some other factors, for Tufi Piyufi and I to have some discussions about where we see BZPower fitting in the LEGO fan community - what we want to do as well as what we are able to do. When Bionicle was first canceled, we began focusing on general LEGO news, primarily so we could keep that daily streak going - if we're not going to worry about that anymore, what can we do instead? How can we best serve Bionicle fans?

We don't have all the answers to spell out right now. BZPower is and has always been a fan site maintained out of passion and in our free time, and life can so frequently get in the way of our hobbies. But I do want to really dedicate some time to work on the site and get something up on the main page of We also want to try to highlight the community more and share your creativity and find ways to encourage it! If you see something cool that you think is worth sharing or you're working on a project and want to spread the word, you can always reach out to the reporter team on Discord or at

In the immediate future, expect to see less frequent posts from me on the front page - think once a week instead of daily. I hope to use the time freed up by this to clean up our server and do some upgrades on the forum. While it might seem like less is happening, I'll still be chugging along in the background. I still intend to do live builds and gaming streams, so those won't be going anywhere.

I thank you for your understanding, and for the community's amazing support over the years. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for you all and BZPower would have probably stopped existing years ago if not for the passion of Bionicle fans!
