The twentieth anniversary of Bionicle may be approaching the end of the year, but there's still more celebrating to be done! Recently Graham Hancock from Blocks Magazine reached out to us to share that their next issue will sport a Bionicle cover and will contain an article celebrating two decades of the theme. They had a chance to sit down with some of the creators of Bionicle to get a behind the scenes look at its inception! You'll be able to preorder the issue starting October 29th and they'll also be selling a poster of the cover art, which you can see below along with some more details about the issue from Graham.

BIONICLE turned 20 years old this year and to celebrate we've got a special feature in Blocks magazine. We talk to the creators of this beloved theme, learning how it went from Bone Heads of Voodoo Island to becoming the story of the Toa that captured the imagination of children around the world. It's illustrated with exclusive concept art.

Issue 85 will be available to order from the Blocks website at www.blocksmag.com from October 29. We're also going to be selling a limited run poster, featuring the cover art without any of the text or extra images.

We wanted to let the BIONICLE fans know first - we doubt it will sell out straight away, but if you do really like the artwork then we recommend not waiting around to order the poster.

Subscription deals are also available and anyone who takes out a subscription before December 23 is eligible for our big prize draw to win a GBP 1,000 LEGO Store gift card.

I'm really excited to read what the Blocks Magazine team dug up about Bionicle, and would like to extend a huge thanks to Graham and his team for sharing this with the Bionicle community and BZPower before anyone else. It's still some beautiful artwork that I hope to hang on my wall!)
