Day 18 - James, Daredevil and Flying Engineer by Ron Folkers
BZPowerSunday, December 20th, 2020 at 1:24am by Jason, BZPower Reporter

2020 has been a hectic year in many ways, but we've seen some great Bionicle creations pop up, despite the theme being long since retired. From Bio Cup to the Canon Contests, there's been some great MOCs out there, and now we're looking to share a few more. And so we're going to try something a little different this month; instead of featuring images from a LEGO Advent calendar, we're instead going to feature Bionicle MOCs from this year. I spent some time browsing through the BZPower Flickr page and handpicked some of my favorite builds, and I'll be posting one a day for 24 days (sorta) straight!

Day 18 - James, Daredevil and Flying Engineer by Ron Folkers

    James, daredevil and flying engineer

Ron Folkers' James, Daredevil and Flying Engineer looks like an interesting mix of Pohatu Phantoka and Hero Factory's Rotor. James himself is super buff, which can be seen in his detailed arms, legs, and torso. And to top it off he has a giant helicopter rotor attached to his back, clearly allowing him to rise up into the skies. The idea is over the top and that's what makes it great. The one minor complaint is the use of the red Kakama Nuva; the intricate designs of the mask fit the rest of the body, but at least in the main picture it blends in too much, almost as if he doesn't have a head at all!

Stay tuned for more cool Bionicle MOCs as the month continues!
