Day 17 - Sam the Scuba Diver by [Jack Frost]
BZPowerSaturday, December 19th, 2020 at 8:18am by Jason, BZPower Reporter

2020 has been a hectic year in many ways, but we've seen some great Bionicle creations pop up, despite the theme being long since retired. From Bio Cup to the Canon Contests, there's been some great MOCs out there, and now we're looking to share a few more. And so we're going to try something a little different this month; instead of featuring images from a LEGO Advent calendar, we're instead going to feature Bionicle MOCs from this year. I spent some time browsing through the BZPower Flickr page and handpicked some of my favorite builds, and I'll be posting one a day for 24 days (sorta) straight!

Day 17 - Sam the Scuba Diver by [Jack Frost]

    Sam the Scuba Diver

We're staying underwater for another MOC, this time with an Aquanauts twist to it. Sam the Scuba Diver by [Jack Frost] is a clever humanoid build; I am immediately drawn to the Aquanauts panel on the chest, but then I realize his limbs also reuse the arm pieces from Alpha Team: Mission Deep Sea. The color blocking and proportions are really good and easily identify him as a diver, although the scene is helped by some of the other builds. The red coral is a good use of the red tail pieces, and the nautilus makes good use of the Hero Factory armor to make up its shell.

Stay tuned for more cool Bionicle MOCs as the month continues!
