LEGOLAND Resort to Open in Shanghai
 Posted on Monday, November 11th, 2019 at 8:43pm by Andrew, BZPower News ManagerEarlier this week Merlin Entertainment announced that they are working with the local Chinese government in Shanghai to open a LEGOLAND theme park and hotel some time around 2023 or later. It will be one of the largest LEGOLANDS to date and be in one of the world's most densely populated areas. The LEGO Group has been working hard to grow their presence in China lately, with more local offices beyond just factories, sets targeted specifically at the Chinese market, and other promotions. This seems like an obvious next step to increase brand recognition in the ever growing consumer market that is China. I'm sure we'll hear more about the park over the next four years, but for now we'll just have to settle for visiting one of the seven other LEGOLANDS that are already open.
